Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 18, 2026

Blekbok ("we", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information the Blekbok apps (POS, E-Menu, and the BI dashboard) and the websites we host — including E-Menu sites on *.blekbok.com — collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

We may collect the following information when you use Blekbok:

  • Account information — your name or nickname, email address and/or Telegram username and ID, and a unique account identifier from the sign-in service you choose. If you set a password, we store only a secure hash, never the password itself.
  • Business information — businesses on Blekbok are created by the Blekbok team, then connected to the owner's account. Only the business name and the owner's account identity are required; everything else — type, address, phone number, social links, logo, and description — is optional and can be added by the owner later.
  • Catalog and sales data — products, categories, prices, discounts, product images, orders, receipts, and invoices created while using the apps.
  • Team information — staff nicknames, roles, permissions, sign-in identities, and invitation history added by a business owner or admin.
  • Technical information — sign-in sessions, sign-in times, and basic device information used to secure your account.

Local storage

The POS app is designed to keep working offline. It may store a local copy of your business's catalog, orders, settings, and images on your device so you can keep selling without an internet connection. This local data syncs with our servers when a connection is available and is removed when you delete the app or sign out.

How we use information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • create and secure your account;
  • sync your business's data across your team's devices;
  • enforce the roles and permissions a business owner assigns;
  • produce receipts, order histories, and reports for the business;
  • respond to support requests;
  • protect the service against abuse and comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services

Blekbok relies on the following third-party services:

  • Google Sign-In — authentication (shares your name and email with us after you approve).
  • Sign in with Apple — authentication (shares your name and email, or a private relay address, after you approve).
  • Telegram Login — authentication (shares your Telegram username and ID after you approve).
  • Bakong (KHQR) — the apps contain no in-app purchases and sell no digital content. KHQR is enabled per business by its owner, set up together with the Blekbok team, and used only so a customer can pay that business for physical products. The app displays a QR code generated from the account details the owner configured; the payment itself happens in the customer's own banking app, directly between the customer and the business. Blekbok never processes payments and never receives card numbers or bank credentials.

Each of these services is governed by its own privacy policy. Our servers are operated by us and are not shared analytics or advertising platforms.

Tracking and advertising

Blekbok does not sell personal information and does not use personal information to track users across other companies' apps or websites. Our products contain no advertising and no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

Data sharing

We do not share personal information except:

  • within your business, where owners, admins, and staff see the data their role permits;
  • on a published E-Menu website, where the business profile and menu the owner chose to publish become publicly visible (unpublishing removes them from public view);
  • with infrastructure providers that host the service on our instructions;
  • when necessary to comply with legal obligations or to protect the service and its users.

Data retention

We retain information for as long as your account or business is active, and as needed to operate the service. Data that is no longer needed is deleted; backup copies are removed on their normal rotation.

Your rights and choices

You may:

  • review and edit your profile and business information in the app;
  • review and revoke sign-in sessions from your account profile;
  • decline optional permissions (photos, camera, Bluetooth, local network) — some features, such as product images or receipt printing, may not function without them;
  • contact us to request a copy or correction of your information.

Account deletion

You can delete your account at any time from inside the POS app (Settings → user profile → setting icon → Delete account). A business owner may request deletion of the business and its data by contacting us at the address below.

Children's privacy

Blekbok is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords, and role-based access controls. However, no system or internet transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date and, where appropriate, a notice in the app.
